Esa Ala-Ruona is a music therapist and psychotherapist working as an associate professor and university researcher at University of Jyväskylä. He is a clinical teacher and supervisor, and he coordinates the international master’s program of music therapy. Esa is a member of the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Interdisciplinary Music Research.

POSSIBILITIES OF MUSIC THERAPY IN SUPPORTING WORK-RELATED WELLBEING
Approaches and methods of music therapy can be used flexibly in supporting work-related wellbeing. They offer new ways for coping and managing with work-related stress. The presentation will reflect on experiences from several pilot studies conducted at Music Therapy Clinic for Research and Training, and the best practices and evaluation tools will be discussed.
